We have this week off from competition, then we have a series of meets coming up, so I'll be using this week to due some preparing and organizing for upcoming events.

In terms of planning, I want to remind everyone of the three meet rule for YMCA swimming. To be able to participate at Y State Meet a swimmer must have participated in three YMCA meets during the season. Most of our swimmers have met this requirement but there are a few who still need 1 or 2 meets. We are down to our final two meets leading into State Meet (not counting All Stars since it's by invite only). 

Our last dual meet will be at Mount Desert Island Y in Bar Harbor on 1/19. 

The following Saturday we will also be sending some swimmers to Belfast for a meet at Waldo County, so hopefully everyone can get to three meets.

On the USA side we will be entering the MSI 2 Meet at Bates the weekend of the 26-27. As soon as the file is posted I will start assembling entries. I encourage all who are signed up for USA swimming to participate in this meet. It's a great opportunity to swim some different events. In addition we will do a USA swimming sign up at the end of this week (Friday). So if your child plans to sign up for USA swimming fill out the form and send it in with a check and we will get them registered on Friday.
