Hello Stingray Families,

We're excited to kick off our first home meet this Saturday, January 4th! Here are a few announcements and reminders.

• The meet will begin at 1:00 pm. Warm-up will start at 11:45 am.
• The swimmers will sit across the pool from the bleachers throughout the meet and should try to minimize visits to the fans/family during the meet (so they don’t miss an event).
• Coach Mike will be sending an email with meet entries. Please remember to write the events the swimmers are competing in on their arm/hand. This should be done with a sharpie the morning of the meet. You should not fill out the heat and lane number; we will do this once the meet is seeded. Let us know if you need a reminder of how to do this.
• We will be selling heat sheets and will also have concessions. Cash is easiest. All donations raised go to support the team and towards much-needed gear and equipment.
• Volunteers are an essential part of running any meet. We need you! Please go to the Stingray Website to sign up to volunteer. This will bring you to the schedule tab (look for the green button that says "Job Signup") and select a role. If you have trouble with the website, reply to me at this email and I can sign you up on a first-come, first-serve basis. The biggest need is for timers and donations for the concession stand.
• This year at our three home meets, we're offering VIP Viewers' Passes for $25, exclusive reserved seating for four, refreshments, snacks, and a heat sheet. Feel free to arrive at your convenience and enjoy prime seating. Please reply to this email if you are interested; passes are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
• Group D will practice at 10 am and Group C will not have practice tomorrow (12/31). There will be no practices on Wednesday (1/1). Happy New Year!
• Please remember to submit your Aquathon pledge forms and donations to one of our coaches or me (Jamie Johnson) by January 3rd. We'll announce the winners of the prizes at the meet.
