Stingrays -- Volunteers needed for the YMCA State Meet

Please sign up for your volunteer times for sessions on Saturday and Sunday over the State Meet weekend. You can sign up as a Timer, Gate Volunteer, 50/50 Raffle Seller, descriptions are below **scroll down.**
We need **ALL** families to help. Since specific age groups are at the pool at different times, the usual volunteers cannot cover all slots.

Many thanks for all you do to help out!
Rebecca Job Descriptions:- Gate: For this job, you help out at the Admission table for the event. KVY is providing two helpers and there will be two from another team. You collect admission fees, sell heat sheets. The bulk of the work happens before the meet starts, so you can still watch the meet.
- Timer: You will be trained on deck. It isn’t difficult and there are always two timers per lane so the responsibility averages out. You will be required to attend a timers’ meeting about 15 minutes before the session starts. This meeting is given by a trained USA Swimming Official. They will tell you how to do the job and then ask you to go stand by the lane you will be timing. Timing involves starting the stopwatch on the start and stop it on the finish. You will write down the time, clear your watch, and be ready to start all over again with the next race.
- 50/50 Tickets: Sell 50/50 Raffle Tickets in the lead up to the session.
- Marshal: Arrive 15 minutes before warm ups, check in with the meet director or referee. Wear a stylish neon vest. Make sure swimmers don't dive into the warm up area unless supervised by a coach - enter feet first only. Check locker rooms for no-cell phone use. Notify coaches/referees of unsafe/inappropriate swimmer behavior. Check in with referee before leaving. You can watch the meet from on deck.
