We are beyond pleased with the season overall and with our “capstone,” the KVY Stingrays Awards Banquet! What a wonderful celebration of our team’s hard work and accomplishments this season (even though the season is not quite over for a few)!
Thanks once more to ALL of you for this season, and this Sunday! It was very satisfying to see the Stingray community come together as a team on Sunday . . . When the team is clicking, it makes what could be “work” really enjoyable! Hosting a group that size is no mean feat 
Jess DeJongh was hard at work in the kitchen cleaning up and she proposed an external fundraising opportunity for next season and: "The Stingray’s Catering Corporation" was born . . . Parties, Weddings, Social Events of Any Kind! She was kidding, but we can really get it done when we get together!
Important updates, reminders and information:
1) If you were not able to attend the banquet, Emily Caffry has a program, a medal, an envelope with any ribbons you may have won and any trophies you may have won (in the Aquatic Director’s office).
2) Some of you who were able to attend, forgot either your envelope, your trophies, or both Please pick them up from Emily in her office.
3) We still have a Youth XL KVY Stingrays team shirt that was found on the bleachers at Orono/States. Please see Emily to pick up your shirt.
4) Raffle Results: Congrats to all of our prize winners, and thank you to all of our supporters/ticket buyers and prize donors! We raised over $400 thanks to your generosity.
SPRING and SUMMER SWIM SESSIONS
As you saw on the back of your banquet programs, the sessions are as follows:
Session I : May 1-June 8, Monday-Thursday, 3:30-4:30 and 4:30–5:30
Session II: June 19-July 27, Monday-Thursday, 4:00-5:00 and 5:00–6:00
Groups: Will be based on swimming experience . . .
The Early Group (i.e.,I-3:30 & II-4:00) will consist of swimmers who swam in the 3:30/”Senior” group this season and it will include swimmers who are 11 and over with 2 or more years of experience, as well as JO qualifiers who are under 11.
The Late Group (i.e., I-4:30 & II-5:00) will consist of swimmers who swam in the later/”Junior”/”Novice” groups this season and it will include swimmers with less than 2 years of experience, and/or those who are 10 and under (except the JO qualifiers mentioned above).
If you have questions regarding group placement, please contact Coach Mike ([email protected]) and he will let you know which group is a fit for your swimmer.
Cost: $105 for one 6-week session, or $200 for both 6-week sessions, if you register for both sessions at the same time.
Registration: begins on Monday, April 3rd at the KV YMCA front desk.
