Hello Stingrays,

Long time . . . At least it seems that way to us

As you know, tomorrow is our KVY Stingrays Awards Banquet! Lots of volunteers are working hard behind the scenes so we can CELEBRATE the hard work and success of our team! Approximately 300 are people coming! Would you be so kind as to follow a few simple guidelines to help us?

1. At the risk of being impolite, if you didn’t sign up/volunteer for the setup crew, could we ask you to arrive no earlier than 10:30? It will help us immensely! We have to lay a giant covering to protect the gym floor, set up tables, chairs, awards, equipment, etc. between 9:30 and 10:30. We fear that “too many cooks in the kitchen will spoil the stew.”

          Setup volunteers: We will gather in the lobby at 9:15. We need to be a well-oiled machine by 9:30 

2. If you are bringing food or drinks, please arrive between 10:30 and 10:50. This will give our team time to receive your contribution and get it all set up for serving. If you are bringing hot food, having it in a crock pot (or something similar) will be helpful, as we don’t eat until noon. Please label your containers and be sure to pick them at the end of the banquet. Serving utensils with your dish will be much appreciated as well!

3. Finally, if everyone could try to arrive and find a seat by 11:00, it will help us to stay on schedule. Coach Mike is eager to share his experience with your swimmer(s)!

It should be a really nice day hearing about our swimmers’ accomplishments (10 & Under 1st, 11-12 after lunch & 13 & Over during/after dessert), sharing a meal/dessert together, making new friends, winning FABULOUS prizes, etc. We will begin at 11 and we will end before 2:30.
