Special thanks to parents who were able to attend last night's meeting regarding the pool. Your presence, questions and input are much appreciated.

KV YMCA leadership (AKA Tom Warren & Ranae L'Italien) asked us to email you the following update:

​“We want to continue to keep everyone up to date with the happenings of the pool.  This morning we had a surprise State of Maine pool inspection.  This inspection was prompted by a complaint that was made to the State regarding our pool.

After a very thorough inspection of everything pool related and a lengthy conversation about the steps we have taken and our plan going forward, it was concluded that we have a pool that is operating as it should be, an air exchange system that is also operating properly, and we are taking the appropriate steps to improve the chloramine issue.  The inspector was happy to hear that we had already consulted with Maine Indoor Air Quality Council to have them test our air quality in the pool area, as this was going to be their recommendation.  Once we hear back from MIAQC we will let you know what they recommend.
