Hi Stingray families,
Hope you are ready for some snow . . .
What a fantastic meet this weekend!
The meet kicked off with a BEAUTIFUL rendition of The Star Spangled Banner by a group of young singers from Winthrop (on a sound system we could hear and understand-Woohoo!). Joining our own Stingray Morgan Henderson were: Anna Whitestone, Avery Silva, Caraline Squires, Elle Folsom and Ella Michaud. Nicely done ladies!
The meet/deck was well run by our officials, timers and technical crew, coaches, marshals, announcer, etc. In addition, the support we received from NUMEROUS parent volunteers was amazing! You all helped with donations, concessions, setup, VIP Seating, preparing swimmers, programs, clean up and so much more, providing a great experience for our Stingrays and our guests.
Thank you to all for enduring the perpetual seating challenge at swim meets . . . As most of you know, it presents a challenge at nearly all the venues at which we swim.
Fundraising was quite successful. The VIP Seats raised $475 and Concessions raised $867.95! Thank you! Coach Mike and the Steering Committee are currently researching some new items that will benefit the team and improve our facility! Stay tuned . . .
Finally, the heart of it all! Our Stingray swimmers performed well on Saturday . . . The meet results are attached, and they have been imported to our website as well. Pictures have been posted on the website and will be on Facebook soon. We are working hard to try and capture pictures of as many swimmers as we can.
