USA Swimmer Registration
Hello again,
Swim season is under way and, hopefully, you have completed your registration with the YMCA. If not, please get that done.
Now, it's time to register our USA swimmers, so they are all ready for the upcoming meets. As you probably know, the Stingrays are first and foremost a YMCA swim team, and USA Swim is another option for many of our swimmers. USA meets are fun and competitive and they are a means by which swimmers qualify for the Junior Olympics meet in March (qualifying times will be posted on our website as soon as they are released).
If your swimmer is interested in competing in USA swim meets, we need to get you registered.
Our tentative schedule for USA Meets is as follows:
- Haunted Hat - October 30th - Bangor, ME
- Bowdoin Open - December 9th-11th Bowdoin – Note: You must qualify for this meet (To view qualifying times: Go to our website, open the “Team” menu and click on the “Time Standard” link)
- MSI - Bates College - January 28th - 29th
- Junior Olympics - Bowdoin - March 16th-19th
There are two options to register as a USA swimmer:
- As a seasonal swimmer (i.e., competing in the current winter season), which is $38.50 per swimmer
- As a year round swimmer (i.e., competing throughout the whole year), which is $67.00 per swimmer
Both forms are attached, so please complete the one that works best for you and your swimmer (Please know that in most cases the seasonal form will work best, as we don't currently compete in the summer). Please include the appropriate payment—Checks should be made out to “Kennebec Valley YMCA” and you can submit your completed forms/payments to Laurie Fromm, Kristy Trice, Gary Trice or Coach Mike.
We would like to have all forms/payments submitted by October 19th, so we can get everyone registered promptly and entered in the Haunted Hat meet on October 30th.
Do let us know if you have any questions.
Thank you,
Kristy & Laurie
