KVY Stingrays 2016-2017 Swim Season is Off to a Great Start!
Hello again Stingrays, veterans and freshman!
WOW! What a response this year . . . Thank you and WELCOME!
If you were at the pool on Monday at 5, you saw 40+ new swimmers checking out the Stingrays, many of whom have already registered for the team!
It was a busy, bustling, loud, (perhaps even intimidating for some) evening . . . However, as you know, Coach Mike and his team are already working hard to get swimmers settled in to the correct practice groups (See: kvystingrays.com – FAQs – “What are the practice groups and times” for more details). We will be a well-oiled-machine in no time!
Here are some more Important Reminders:
- Stingray Registration: Please complete your registration at the KVYMCA. If you are unsure of your group (i.e., “Novice,” “Junior” or “Senior,”), please ask Coach Mike (one of the folks on the pool deck may be helpful as well)
- Website Registration: Please complete (or update) your registration on our kvystingrays.com website to ensure we have all your latest contact info and to ensure that results post correctly when uploaded
- Parent Meeting: Our Stingray Parent Meeting is September 28th @ 6:30 pm in the Studio at the KVY
- Contract: Please print and sign (both swimmer and parent) the attached “Kennebec Valley YMCA Swim Team Behavior Contract,” which must be signed/submitted to Coach Mike by September 23rd
- Swim gear: Ordering new swim suits/gear from swimoutlet.com? Please help our Stingray swimmers by signing in with this address: swimoutlet.com/kvystingrays . . . The team will receive a nice bonus toward new equipment!
Thanks to all who are welcoming new swimmers/families this week! It is great to see all the hospitality and connections being made. Let’s continue to welcome folks and make them feel at home!
