Hi Everyone,

We had some additional Junior Olympic cuts made at the Festivus Meet last week, and there is still one more opportunity to make a cut and qualify for this meet (at Y State Meet).  I will attach the qualifying standards so that anyone interested can look up what they need to do to qualify for the meet.  If your swimmer has qualified for the meet and would like to attend, they need to be signed up for USA swimming.

The meet allows for swimmers with one cut to swim 2 bonus events (so three total) and swimmers with 2 cuts to swim 1 bonus event.  In addition, if we have enough swimmers, we can put relays in the water to get additional swims.  Off the top of my head I can think of a few swimmers with qualifying times who are not signed up for USA swimming...Addison Burnham, Olivia Pekins, Renee Moleswoth, Haley Gagne and Cade Parker.  I think we have some others who are close and have an excellent chance to make their cuts at Y State Meet.

So if anyone is interested in getting the ball rolling on this, or has any questions talk to me this week about the what needs to be done.  For those USA swimmers planning on swimming at JO's you will need to send me an e-mail indicating what events you want to swim (or write it down and hand it to me at practice).  12 and unders get 3 individuals and 1 relay per day, and 13 and up get 2 and 1.  

Entries need to be submitted by March 8th, and I will wait on the Y State results before submitting.
