    Basket Raffle Fundraiser Update & Reminder

    The Fundraising Committee is putting together a big basket to be raffled off during the home swim meet on 12/19. We have been aggressively seeking donations from local businesses and this is what we have received so far to put in the basket:

    • $25.00 gift certificate Augusta Florist
    • Cut and Style Rumour Has It
    • 1 Burrito and Drink Lisa’s Legit Burritos value $10.00
    • $15.00 Downtown Diner
    • $20.00 Liberal Cup
    • $15.00 Slates Restaurant & Bakery
    • $10.00 Juiced
    • $5.00 Scrummy Afters
    • $10.00 Bolley’s Famous Franks
    • Lucky Garden luncheon buffet for two
    • 2 movie passes at Regal Cinemas
    • 2 certificates for small blizzards at Dairy Queen value $7.75

    We are continuing to seek donations from businesses and would like to reach out to our Stingrays Family as well. Our goal is to make a big basket to raffle off in which all proceeds will go towards apparel for the state meet. We would like to fill the basket with family oriented items such as:

    • Board games and card games (various age groups)
    • DVD’s
    • Puzzles (various size pieces)
    • Popcorn bucket with popcorn, candy, hot cocoa
    • Books

    We know that this is a busy time of year for all and would greatly appreciate any donation toward the basket. If you would prefer, Suzette has volunteered to shop for the basket if anyone would like to make a monetary contribution.

    The deadline to drop off donations will be Friday, December 11th. Donations may be given to Suzette Crosby, Rachel Littler, Stacey Katz, Alisha Parker, or dropped off at Ranae L’Italien’s office.

    We will also need assistance in selling tickets. Our goal is to have the basket assembled by the 13th and begin selling tickets by the 14th. Suzette has volunteered to sell tickets at Sam’s Club as long as there is a slot available to sell. We will also have the basket on display at the counter at the YMCA and Suzette will sell tickets at the home meet 12/19, the day the winner will be picked. We would like to reach out to each of you to assist in selling tickets to friends and family. We will put together a final pamphlet on what the basket contains and the tickets will be $1.00 each, 6 for $5.00, or 15 for $10.00.
