Summer swim camp and championship suits

This summer we will be running a swimming day camp the week of June 25 to the 29th. Details are still in the works, but the plan is to have a morning session that includes a classroom session reviewing video of stroke mechanics, a pool session, and strength training/flexibility instruction. After that the Y will have activities (or nap time) until afternoon practice time. The camp will serve two purposes from a training and development perspective. First it will (hopefully) increase our swimmers knowledge of the sport, and second it will assist in the preparation for the meet in Canada at the end of July. Additional information will be forthcoming as we work out the details.

For those interested in getting a "fast" suit for their child for Y States and JO's, I want to offer a suggestion. Check out the suits at http://www.yingfa.us. These suits are not in violation of the suit ban, and they are reasonably priced ($32 for the boys and $49 for the girls). Yingfa was the factory where many of the speedo suits were made up until a few years ago, so I think their suits represent technology similar to what you'd find in a original fast skins suits at about a 1/3 the cost. My only other suggestion is to make sure the suit is as tight as can be tolerated.

Any questions about the camp or the suits let me know at [email protected].
